What began as a request to prepare an MX track and install a dog-proof fencing, quickly developed into a larger rural property improvement project, with several additional jobs completed during our time on site.
We started by clearing an overgrown tree line to open up the boundary to make way for a new electric three-wire fence. The removed trees and vegetation were stacked neatly in the paddock, ready for the property owner to use for a bonfire. We also carried out tree and vegetation clearing in the front house paddock, removing broken limbs and tidying up overgrown trees to improve the overall appearance of the property.
Alongside the clearing work, we installed aluminium pool fencing to help keep the customer's dog safely contained within the back section. We also removed unwanted scrap steel and an old loading ramp that had previously been used to load equipment onto a trailer.
This project is a great example of how a single job can grow into a complete property tidy-up. We work closely with our customers to find practical solutions and tackle a wide range of earthmoving, fencing and rural maintenance tasks.

We were recommended for this residential project in Temple View by one of our existing customers. The homeowner had recently built a new home and was looking to extend a few concrete areas around the driveway and exterior of the property.
After providing a competitive quote, we were pleased to have the customer accept promptly and arrange a suitable date for the work. The project involved preparing and completing three separate concrete extensions, including a small square section and two longer, angled sections alongside the driveway, with the largest extension measuring approximately four metres long.
We completed the concrete work with a focus on quality workmanship, clean edges and a tidy finish to complement the property's new build. The customer was extremely happy with the finished result and told us that our quote was under half the price of several other concrete contractors she had approached in Hamilton.

Completed the first stage of a rural track formation project, involving the excavation and creation of approximately 200 metres of access track through heavily overgrown vegetation. The area was covered in trees, shrubs, bushes and dense vegetation, requiring extensive clearing and excavation to establish a workable route through the property.
Over approximately a week and a half, we cleared the track alignment, removed trees and vegetation, and carried out cut-and-fill earthworks to improve the track's formation. This included cutting back slipped sections, filling holes and low spots, and redistributing soil to create a more even and practical access way.
The project required careful ground shaping and significant vegetation removal to open up the area and prepare the track for its next stage of development.

Following the completion of Stage One, we returned to continue developing the rural access track, focusing on improving access around the pond and connecting the surrounding areas to the existing paddocks.
This stage involved excavating up a slippery bank and carefully shaping an S-shaped track to gradually gain elevation. Once the required height was reached, we continued cutting along the side of the bank, extending the track around the pond and towards the existing fence line.
We then opened up sections of the pond's fence line to create additional access points, forming multiple entryways connecting the track, pond area and paddock. This provided more practical access around the property and improved the usability of the surrounding land.
Working through sloping ground required careful excavation and contouring to establish a practical route while making the most of the existing terrain.

Completed a residential improvement project involving concrete pathway preparation, landscaping and backyard reinstatement across both the front and rear sections of the property.
At the front of the house, we prepared for a new concrete pathway connecting the existing front patio to the driveway. The new path measured approximately 3.5 metres long and 800 mm wide, poured at 100 mm thick. Following the concrete work, we reinstated topsoil around the area and reshaped the surrounding ground to create a smooth, natural contour flowing down towards the new pathway. We also removed existing cobblestones as part of the site preparation.
At the rear of the property, we removed an existing concrete patio, cleared green waste, rubbish, a tin shed and excavated a load of rocky material. We then supplied and spread freshly screened topsoil across the backyard, levelling and track-rolling the surface to create a firm, tidy finish ready for hydro seeding.

Residential Landscaping & Topsoil Reinstatement – Stage Two In Temple View

Following the completion of the initial concrete pathway and landscaping works, we returned to the property to carry out additional topsoil reinstatement across the front section of the home.
Once the initial works were completed, the finished ground levels made several low spots more noticeable. At the customer's request, we returned to spread additional topsoil throughout the front section, filling in the low areas and refining the ground levels to achieve a more even, tidy finish.
With surplus topsoil available on site, we also completed an additional area on the right side of the driveway at no extra charge, making practical use of the remaining material rather than carting it away.

Completed a residential drainage project to help manage excess water collecting around a shed and prevent moisture from entering underneath the building. Using our 3-tonne excavator, we dug a drainage trench alongside the shed and installed 100 mm perforated Nova Coil drainage pipe, wrapped in filter cloth to help filter out soil and debris.
The drainage line was laid in the prepared trench, with sand placed over the pipe as backfill before levelling off the area to leave a tidy finish.

Completed a rural landscaping project involving the redistribution of surplus topsoil left over from the construction of a shed pad. Using a 1.7-tonne excavator, we spread topsoil around the outside of the shed to cover the exposed sand base and create a tidier finish around the building.
The remaining topsoil was spread and shaped across the surrounding bank, helping blend the area into the existing landscape and improve the overall appearance of the property.

Subcontracted for approximately three months to assist with the completion of the final civil construction works on a major commercial site development beside Bunnings South in Frankton, Hamilton, at the former Jack House Transport yard.
The project involved a variety of detailed site preparation works, including approximately 100 metres of pavement preparation for hot mix, 250 metres of footpath preparation, 300 metres of kerb preparation and 200 metres of right-of-way preparation. We also completed preparation works for eight parking bays, helping get the site ready for the next stages of construction.
Working alongside the wider construction team, we focused on the detailed finishing work required to bring the development closer to completion, delivering practical and reliable earthmoving support across multiple areas of the site.

Completed the second stage of a residential drainage project, involving 100 metres of concrete cutting and trenching to install a new stormwater drainage line. Using our excavation equipment and drainage background, we prepared the trench to 300 mm wide and 600 mm deep, allowing for the installation of 100 mm PVC drainage pipework.
The new line was connected to the existing drainage system installed during the previous stage, incorporating downpipe connections and a water collection point to capture runoff from the concrete driveway. The drainage route was prepared to connect with the existing council stormwater infrastructure.
We then backfilled the completed sections of trench, allowing for approximately 100 mm of concrete reinstatement over the top. Areas requiring additional fittings and final pipe connections were left accessible for completion once the remaining materials were available.

Completed a residential landscaping project using a 1.7-tonne excavator to help address a leaning boundary fence between neighbouring properties. With the existing fence being pushed over by the higher ground on the neighbouring side, the customer was looking for a practical, budget-friendly solution to make better use of an otherwise unusable area.
Rather than opting for a costly fence replacement, we recommended constructing a raised garden bed using 200 mm round posts and retaining timber. This created a functional garden space while helping support the lower side of the boundary and make better use of the available ground.
By working with the customer's budget and finding a practical alternative, we transformed an awkward area into a useful outdoor feature.
